Hawk-Woods NPD1 Data NP1 ShoeThe Hawk-Woods NPD1 shoe connects an NPD-98 battery to the NPD-8S distribution box. It has 2 x TA4 (mini-xlr) chassis mounted outputs, one of which has an on/off switch so that you can switch off the distro and everything connected to it from one central point. This connector also carries data from the battery enabling the distro display and/or a Sound Devices 8 Series recorder to show you information about the state of charge of the battery and the remaining run time. The other TA4 connector on the NPD1 is not controlled by the switch and will still allow you to draw power from the battery.
