Schoeps Super CMIT2U analogue/digital microphoneThe SuperCMIT defines a new category of shotgun microphone, with directivity that goes beyond anything previously possible Based on Schoeps' extremely successful analogue model CMIT 5 the SuperCMIT suppresses off axis sound with a completely new operating principle using two transducers and digital processing algorithms. The output in AES42 format has the highly directional SuperCMIT signal on channel one and the single transducer (CMIT5) signal on channel two. When diffuse noise from the street or the wind or audience noise is interfering with the recording, the SuperCMIT is a problem solver. The direct sound is recorded without colouration and the noise is significantly reduced - down to the lowest frequencies! This cannot be achieved even by a long shotgun microphone. Therefore, the SuperCMIT is ideally suited to difficult film sound recordings or for sports applications even indoors. The SuperCMIT is supplied with the DA42 interface and breakout cable for use when an AES42 input is not available.
