Schoeps MK8 Figure of Eight CapsuleThe MK8 is one of the Colette range of Schoeps capsule and is a true dipole (figure of eight) transducer, with a single diaphragm. Its main axis is at a right angle to the capsule, making it side address. 0° and 180° positions are marked with a red and a black dot respectively and when recording in M/S, the 0° axis (as viewed from a position behind the microphone) should point to the left, and the "8" engraved on top of the capsule should be precisely horizontal.
