You wouldn't often use a CUB outdoors I suppose, but they are very popular for in car shots and if the director is insisting on an open window, this could be the only way to get usable sound. The Cub has a wide elastic area that allows it to easily slide over the flat construction of the CUB-01 microphone. The elastic is topped with a "hat" made from the carefully chosen faux-fur that is also used for the very popular Windbubbles.
