d:dicate™ 4018C Compact Supercardioid MicrophoneDesigned for a broad range of long-distance broadcast, ENG and film miking applications, such as booming, dialogue, interview and table or podium use, the d:dicate™ 4018C Supercardioid is only 6.4cm long (Yes, really) so is ideal for use as a spot or hanging mic for orchestra recording or as a lightweight boom in a small Rycote or Cinela Cosi windshield. This microphone is part of the flexibl d:dicate™ Microphone series. It has a highly-directional supercardioid pickup pattern with a smooth and uniform off-axis frequency response. The supercardioid pattern is frequency independent and the usual rear lobe heard on most supercardioids is minimized on this capsule.
