Betso CPAA-18 Circular Polarised Active AntennaOverviewThe CPAA-18 is the flagship of receiver antennas because of its circular polarisation. Compared to traditional linear polarisation it has much better performance in non-line-of-sight situations or when the transmitter antenna could be randomly oriented in the horizontal or vertical position. ie action scenes or big dance/vocal productions perhaps. Additionally the inbuilt, high quality, extremely low noise amplifier is ideal for situations where you need to run long cables or where the signal strength is weak. Ultra Low Noise RF AmplifierThe on board ultra low noise RF amplifier can be easily adjusted to any value betwen -9 and +18dB enabling the CPAA-18 to compensate for signal loss in long cable runs. But if you're lucky enough to be enjoying very high signal levels you could set it to negative gain to prevent overloading your receiver input stages. With an excellent standing Wave Ratio of less than 1.2 and high efficiency input filters the CAA-18 provides outstanding RF performance. The amplifier gain setting is displayed on the seven segment LED display. The brightness of the display can be adjusted manually or automatically or it can be switched off altogether. Circular polarised antennae can be big but Betso have gone to great lengths to make the CAA-18 as small as possible. It can easily be wall mounted in a permanent installation with 4 x M4 screws.
