Schoeps CMIT5U with Cinela Piano windshieldWell shotgun microphones don't come much better than the CMIT5 and windshields don't get much better than those from French company Cinela so you can't go wrong with this package deal! Schoeps CMIT5UThere are three pushbutton-activated filters:- High-frequency emphasis (+ 5 dB at 10 kHz) enhances speech intelligibility and compensates for high-frequency loss caused by windscreens. A steep low-cut filter (18 dB/oct. below 80 Hz) suppresses wind and boom noise. A gentle low-frequency rolloff (6 dB/oct. below 300 Hz) compensates for proximity effect. Pairs of LEDs next to each pushbutton indicate the status of the filters so you can see how you've set it up even in the dark and those settings are retained when the microphone is switched off. Here's what Helmut says about the CMIT range:- Frequency range | 40 Hz - 20 kHz | |

Cinela PIA-1 Piano WindshieldYou could say that Cinela products are a little unconventional but they are all based on sound accoustic engineering principles and they work remarkably well. Both in terms of the windshielding effect and the isolation effect of the suspension. PIA-1 is a complete kit and includes a furry outer cover. We supply the long fur version as standard but just let us know if you'd like to change that for the short fur version.
